Arizona kids on a cold winter's day......

It is always amusing to observe our Arizona native born kids around the wonders of snow. Just a dusting on the ground can make it as exciting as school being cancelled for a week! Often when we go home to New Mexico for Christmas it is dry and we don't see any snow at all. This time was different. Just the morning after we arrived it was snowing when were waking from our slumber. Jonathan couldn't even wait to change out of their pajamas before running out to investigate.....There is no lack of exuberance in this family!

Look, the snow packs into a nice snowball!

Batman pajaman snowman.....

What lovely snowballs to pelt you with!

Loving grandma's nice gloves....

Fulfilling her simple wish for the trip: building a snowman.

Even after massive bundling up, gloves, and the rest - Jonathan lasted all of 5 minutes before the wails began. True Arizonan.....and takes after his mom. He prefers to snuggle with dad where it is warm!

Let the building begin.....better hurry....the sun is coming out and the snow won't last long!

Nice lookin' guy...

Jonathan helping shovel snow for the snowman....

That same evening when the cousins were leaving Grandma's the kids were delighted again to see the snow fall......

MacKenzie and Ryan catching snowflakes on their tongues.....notice the ridiculous bare feet!

Snow princess....

Savor it - it won't last long and soon we'll be back home in Arizona....

Where flip flops are proper clothing!
